Bar Louie O`Hare in Chicago

UPDATE: I'm changing my review to five stars (previously three). I wrote the review below back in January 2018. I've been there several times since, and I have to say that I never again experienced slow service. Quite the contrary, they are well staffed and accommodating. Check them out on Friday nights for live musicians. Have the calamari!Well done, guys. --------------------------January 2018: Good food. Came in at 6PM, and bartender was overwhelmed. Not her fault...she was the only one working. I'll come again...maybe someone called off...she tried her best, but the volume of customers was a bit too much for anyone. Great food... service: need more staffing.

This is the worst Bar Loui I have ever been. I was staying at the hotel 2 years ago and every time I went to the restaurant was a MESSS. Poor management, the servers sections are terrible, instead of having one section they have tables everywhere. I had to refill my drink by myself several times because my server disappeared Or was in another section. Hopefully they changed the management.

Great food and service. This restaurant is inside Holiday Inn O'Hare.

Pretzel app were two small pretzels reminiscent of the frozen ones you get at the store. My water glass was dirty, got a replacement fast from nice waiter. Both our burgers were sub par meat quality. Maybe this is due to the $5 burger special day? They were chewy and had no sear or grill to them. Both were bad...Really disappointing.

Good place to gather before a dinner meeting in the hotel. Chips and dips is a great "snack".

I love their menu and the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and nice!

The food is good and the service is solid. This place makes you feel at home and most times, I do stop by getting off the train over at Cumberland station.

The booths aren't to friendly to larger people. Other than that great service and food!

Great place to unwind after a long day. Really just a great place in general for a good experience. Beer was cold. Food was hot. Quesadillas we're really good. Hot pretzels we're great, but the cheese sauce was a little spicy if you're not expecting it. 5 dollar burgers on Tuesdays. I had the basic cheeseburger and it was very good. Bun was perfect. Highly recommend this place. Will be back!

Stopped in last night and had a lovely time. It was easier to see the menu from the website and our server was vary knowledgeable of the menu with any questions we had.

Best of the best!! I’ve been coming to this location for years and always blown away at the level of service from server to server, bartenders, staff, and management.. they always make everything perfect and can tell they really enjoy what they do! Highly recommend this location for literally anything.. date night, chillin with a group of friends, lunch, late-night etc. Summertime is especially nice as you can use their gorgeous patio! Love the food, drinks, and the overall vibe here every time!!! Everyone has been great 👌 Shoutout to Jessica, Jenn, and the manager Brittany! Those are names I remember, but the entire staff has been more than great!

Great place to have dinner after a show. The menu selection is good as is the service. Public parking a block away valet also available. A little loud however due to so many people enjoying and having fun. Management clearly directing his team and making table rounds to make sure every table is being taken care of. We have dined at this restaurant a number of times and never been disappointed.

Ate here for a week straight before and after work training for combined insurance - great staff and the food was good. Thanks 😊

Absolutely horrible. It was terribly packaged, I ordered the voodoo pasta plate and it spilled in the bag. I ordered a burger for my parent and it was undercooked, did not have the cheese we paid for and did not come with fries. It seemed to be just thrown into the box, the top bunk wasn't even on the burger. I am very upset because I heard good things about Bar Louie.

Fine place to grab food or a drink before heading down the highway to more fun spots. Good pit stop from Rosemont/O'Hare on your way to the city.

Nice, clean hotel bar, food also & drink specials. Did New Year's eve for 2019 & 2020, nice!👍

Great Service everytime

Came to this place on Friday night around 10 pm. We asked for a table which one of waitress said is booked and someone just went for smoking. This table was actually available and never cleaned up. They gave us a different table, brought water in 10 min and we were waiting for someone to get our order. No one gave us service, 3 waitresses only ran around a few tables, never serving us. Just left this place after 30 min waiting. Will not come back.

Very well organised and accessible spot. They serve large meals and for inexpensive rates. I enjoyed the menu very much and the staff were super friendly and informative. Highly recommended.

Food was delicious and the service very attentive. It was very relaxing. Great place to drink and eat and have fun with your hubby or friends. Very clean and affordable. I will highly recommend to family and friends.

If you're at a hotel near by, it's worth the walk over.This place has proper craft beers on tap and relatively good food. And it doesn't shut down as early as the hotel restaurant.

The atmosphere and tap selection exceeded my expectations, but the food was very mediocre. The size of the burger was definitely not what I would expect for $13, so good thing I came on $5 burger night. Kind of felt like I was at Applebees though which is really not what I'm about.

A sports bar. A bit quiet but I suppose that is the run up to the superbowl. Burger was OK.

It was a really good time. The food and drinks were very good. They work fast food came in less than 15 minutes. I would totally come back.

Staff is friendly food is good like most of their places and parking is somewhat convenient being in a hotel.

Great looking bar. 1st time here. The manager was a guy named Armando. Very nice. Takes good care of his customers. Would recommend to go here for great draft beers and really good food!!!!

Absolutely amazing food and service. Place was packed and I came in as a solo diner for only food and still got top quality service. Also the food here isn't just bar food, it's full on high quality. If you want something good to eat late at night this is the place to be. Shout out to joe for being an awesome server. Food pictures is chicken nachos and hot honey chicken sandwich.

One of the few place you can get a heffeweizen in the midwest, on draft no less. It was a clean, quick and delicious spot to grab a bite to eat. Free parking in an area where that is a rare commodity, and relatively inexpensive for the portions. I would recommend it if your looking for good beer, good sports on the tv, and generous portions.

Convenient (especially if you happen to be staying at this hotel). Food is good. Service is great. Easy to get in and out of and the convenience thing is really awesome too.

I really like this place. CAROLINA she is best of the best in this place. We love her smile and service what she provide. Right person on the right place. Highly recommend.

The drinks were weak although the flavor waa good. The one in Evanston was better. However the service on the patio was good so they keep 3 stars.i

Bartender didn't care to help us in an empty bar until he was asked to by other staff. Ordered a Makers and Diet and was given a glass of Makers and a glass of Diet Coke? They did fix the drink, but still pretty amazing...

Great food, delivered efficiently! Lovely time overall!
